# Understanding Time Approval Permissions
## For customers of our PTO module and Timesheets feature.
This article details role permissions specific to our Time Approval features, accessible from Built’s main navigation. Learn more about [managing user roles and permissions](https://support.builtapp.com/v1/docs/managing-user-roles-and-permissions) in Built.
Reports
The **Reports** page provides access to a number of data reports based on the features included in your Built account.
*For HR Admins, HR Managers, and Limited Admins, access to compensation and/or budgeting data is based on whether the individual has been granted compensation and/or budgeting permissions, allowing access limited to their specified scope. Calendar
Customers of our PTO module or Timesheets feature can view important dates and individuals’ schedules on the **Calendar** page.
*Customers of our PTO module can also manage PTO requests from the calendar. To learn about PTO permissions, refer to the section below.*
PTO
Individuals’ PTO records can be managed by navigating to their profile and clicking the **Paid Time Off** tab. Within the scope of their permissions, Managers and Admins can access requests pending approval on the **Time Approvals** page by clicking the **Time Off** tab.
Timesheets
Individuals’ timesheets can be accessed by navigating to their profile and clicking the **Timesheets** tab. Within the scope of their permissions, Managers and Admins can also review a list of timesheets pending approval on the **Time Approvals** page by clicking the **Timesheets**tab.
Notes about Time Approval permissions:
- *By default,* [*Limited Admins*](https://support.builtapp.com/v1/docs/managing-user-roles-and-permissions#general-admin-roles) *can edit their subordinates’ data. Alternatively, a Limited Admin can be* [*allowed to edit data for others’ subordinates in addition to or excluding their own subordinates*](https://support.builtapp.com/v1/docs/managing-user-roles-and-permissions#managing-permissions-in-built)*. If a Limited Admin can edit data for one or more subordinates other than their own, for those individuals, they can create and manage PTO policies, edit accrual rates, and delete transactions, in addition to the privileges listed above. Others’ subordinates’ PTO requests and timesheets must be managed from the Paid Time Off/Timesheets tabs within their profiles, while their own subordinates’ requests and timesheets can be managed from the calendar, the Time Approvals page, or their profiles.*
- *If viewing permissions allow employees to view only themselves, Managers without admin privileges will have limited access to their subordinates’ data across Built and must manage subordinates’ PTO requests and timesheets from the Time Approvals page.
